Trash Talking

Greetings Roadrunners!

We survived 2016 and it's now 2017! Many things happened in 2016. We all went through some highs - the opening of Mashburn Hall - and lows - losing our Director of Residential Life to Leukemia.

With a new year, we are all given a fresh start. Corvias/Residential Life will be rolling out trash service starting Monday, January 9th. This means no more walking outside to the dumpster to deposit your trash!

It is important to do your part and pitch in. Here are the new guidelines that you will need to follow for your trash:
  1. All trash must be put into kitchen trash bags, and tied to prevent any of the contents from spilling out. This means no more Walmart or grocery bags allowed!
  2. Pour out any liquid items before placing them in your kitchen trash bags.
  3. Do not place single trash items into the trash bins - only kitchen trash bag bagged trash is acceptable (Whew that was a mouth full!)
  4. It's important to put bagged trash only in the designated areas - aka not the community spaces such as game rooms, laundry rooms or kitchens!
It's as easy as that! If everyone can chip in and follow those four simple rules, Corvias/Residential Life can offer this trash service all semester long!

For more information on the updated trash policy, visit the Residential Life Living Guide online. We appreciate your help in keeping this building looking brand new! Have a great Spring semester!
